What are the common problems for industrial gas annealing furnaces?
1. Whether the annealing temperature reaches the specified temperature.
Bright annealing furnaces generally use solid solution heat treatment, which is what people usually call "annealing". The temperature range is 1040~1120℃. It can be observed through the observation hole of the annealing furnace. The stainless steel pipes in the annealing area should be incandescent , but should not soften or sag.
2. Annealing atmosphere.
The annealing atmosphere generally uses pure hydrogen, and the purity of the atmosphere is above 99.99%. If other parts of the atmosphere are gases, the purity can be lower, but it cannot contain too much oxygen and water vapor.
3. Furnace body(Muffle) sealing.
The bright annealing furnace should be closed and isolated from the outside air; if hydrogen is used as a protective gas, only one exhaust port should be connected (for igniting the discharged hydrogen). The inspection method can be to wipe the gaps between the joints of the annealing furnace with soapy water to see if there is air leakage. The places where gas easily escapes are the place where the annealing furnace enters the pipe and the place where the annealing furnace exits the pipe. The sealing ring in this place is "especially easy to wear. Check and change frequently.
4. Protective gas pressure.
To prevent micro-leakage, the positive pressure of the protective gas in the furnace should be maintained. If it is hydrogen protective gas, it is generally required to be above 20kbar.
5. Water vapor in the furnace.
On the one hand, check whether the furnace material is dry, and the furnace material should be dried for the first time; second, whether there is too much water left on the stainless steel pipe entering the furnace, especially if there are holes in the pipe, do not leak in, otherwise it will destroy the atmosphere in the furnace. If there is no such problem, the stainless steel pipe that should be withdrawn about 20 meters after starting the furnace will start to glow, which is bright and reflective.
